Wikis

Wikis are websites which allows anyone to access it allowing the information to be edited. Wikis are good to use as they are on the internet and can be seen by anyone, and if someone wants to add some information that they feel is important they can take and add the information.

Here is an example of the wiki my group and I made in class.

I would use wikis in the classroom as a group project. Somewhat to the way we used it in ECMP 355. I would get the students into groups and then give them a topic of where they would each answer a question pertaining to the topic. A curriculum connection example would be Grade 5, with a subject of science and then a topic of  Oceans.

I think my students would benefit from this technology as they are able to go on and put information that pertains to their question they are supposed to answer, and then the others in their group or really anyone can go and add more information to what they have already added. This way the students learn new information and learn more about technology today.
